PURPOSE:To simplify construction and improve the earthquakeproof performance and fire-resistance by erecting a bottomed cylindrical body into a longitudinal underground hole and forming a number of storage chambers in multistage form by the annular bottom plates and the partitioning walls in the cylindrical body and raising and lowering a gondola equipped with a fork lifter into the center hole on the annular bottom plate. CONSTITUTION:A bottomed cylindrical body 2 is erected into a longitudinal underground hole 1 with the upper edge part projecting at a prescribed height on the ground. Annular bottom plates 4 are installed in multistage form at a prescribed height and intervals into the bottomed cylindrical body 2, and a storage chamber 6 is formed by partitioning the part between the bottom plates 4 by a partitioning wall 5. A gondola 13 having a fork lifter 14 for receiving and delivering article in advance/retreatable ways arranged into the center hole of the annular bottom plate 4, and raising/lowering-controlled by a motor- driven wire drum 8, wire 9, pulleys 10 and 11, and a revolution control box 12. With such constitution, construction work can be made simple, and earthquakeproof performance and fire-resistance can be improved.
