VALVE MECHANISM FOR OPERATING A PISTON WITHIN A CYLINDER A valving mechanism for a cylinder-piston unit wherein the extreme positions of the piston are not positively controlled by a crankshaft or similar device. Inlet and exhaust valves are respectively mounted in a cylinder heed and are operated by actuating rods projecting into the path of the piston.
