PURPOSE:To facilitate taking-out of a workpiece by installing two pairs of roller which can be transversely shifted to an operative position and inoperative position and in which one is set at the operative position while the other is at the in operative position, onto a part of a conveyor, in the roller conveyor transport device. CONSTITUTION:A workpiece 2 on a roller conveyor 1 is transported by a roller 3. The second roller group 6 is at an operation position on the figure, and the clutches 10 and 22 are in operation state, and each roller 3 is revolved by a driving motor 9, and the workpiece 2 is transported. At this time, the roller 3 in the first roller group 4 does not operate. When a transfer board 5 is moved leftward, and the second roller group 6 is set at an inoperative position, the workpiece 2 on the second roller group 6 is taken outside a processing line. Then, the first roller group 4 is operated for transport by the clutches 9 and 20. With such constitution, the workpiece can be easily taken out from the line.
