PURPOSE:To simplify a gasifier oven apparatus through making it unnecessary to install a burner specifically employed for elevating the temp. of the oven, by adopting a system wherein gas fuel is fed to a coal burner of a coal gasifier oven. CONSTITUTION:In a burner device provided with burners 80 and 81 attached to a coal gasifier oven 30 and with pipes 38, 39, 40 and 41 for feeding pulverized coal 1 by means of carrier gas 2 to the burners 80 and 81, gas fuel 7 for elevating the temp. within the oven to one necessary for coal gasification reaction is fed to the burners 80 and 81. In the above construction, it is pref. that the pipes 35, 36 and 37 for feeding gas fuel 7 to the burners 80 and 81 be connected to the pipes 39 and 41 for feeding pulverized coal 1 to the burners 80 and 81. Since gas fuel is fed to coal burners as described above, it is feasible to elevate the temp. of the oven at start-up by burning gas fuel with the coal burners. Accordingly, it is not necessary to install a burner specifically employed for temp. elevation.
