<p>PURPOSE:To decrease a transmission error rate by providing a means converting plural coded data into conversion data with less DC and low frequency components of the same number of bits of the data in response to the combination of plural coded data so as to suppress the low frequency component of a picture signal effectively. CONSTITUTION:An analog video signal inputted to an input terminal 100 is converted into a digital data of k-bit by an A/D converter 101. The digital data is inputted to a DPCM circuit 102, where difference arithmetic operation between adjacent picture elements is applied and a difference output is obtained. The input data to the DPCM circuit is inputted to an adder 200. An output picture data before one sample outputted from a predicting device 204 is inputted to other inverted input terminal of the adder 200 as the predicted picture element data. The difference between the picture data of present sample and the picture data of the preceding sample is calculated by the adder 200 and the result is outputted as a k-bit difference data and inputted to the quantizer 201 and nonlinear quantization using the feature of the picture signal is applied.</p> |
