摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a see-through material with both surfaces different in optical characteristics without making a required pattern by every process, by a method wherein a desired pattern, a uniform pattern, and a desired pattern are succes sively formed on a transfer medium previously in an ink to be selectively trans ferred. CONSTITUTION:On the surface of a transparent or translucent transfer medium 11, a release layer 12 is previously provided, and thereon, successively, a design 13 visible from one side is formed on a picture pattern requiring portion and background colors 14, 5 is formed all over the surface and a design 16 visible from the other side is formed on the picture pattern requiring portion; moreover, a heat- and pressure-sensitive adhesive 17 is applied to a required pattern, i.e. a dot pattern 0.7mm wide and long and 0.5mm in pitch radius. A rigid vinyl chloride 18 of 100mu thickness is loaded on this material and pressed by a roll 21 at a high temperature. Only the required portion is transferred to a transpar ent material 18 of rigid biphenyl chloride from the side of the transfer medium 11. In this manner, a see-through material with both surfaces different in optical characteristics is obtained.
