PURPOSE:To reduce the leak of oil into a compression chamber by reducing the outside diameter of a thrust bearing than that of a swing scroll and always overlapping the whole surface of the thrust bearing with the swing scroll. CONSTITUTION:A thrust bearing 31 is fixed inside by an Oldham's coupling 13 onto the recessed part 8a of a bearing frame 8. The outside diameter is made smaller than the outside diameter of the base plate 2a of a swing scroll 2, and the thrust bearing surface is always overlapped with the base plate 2a surface. An oil discharge hole 31c communicates to an oil return hole 25, and communicates to an oil reservoir 15 through a balancer chamber 29 and an oil return hole 26. Therefore, the leak of the oil from the gap formed between the thrust bearing and the swing scroll is reduced, and the quantity introduced into a compression chamber can be reduced.
