PURPOSE:To make it possible to perform unmanned running and to grasp the working state of facilities by a method wherein, in the case where abnormality in facilities is detected in either an injection molder or its peripheral facilities, abnormality data are sent to a centralized monitoring device, which discriminates conforming abnormality rank on the basis of the sent abnormality data in order to instruct an abnormality processing sequence, which is allotted in advance in response to the rank of abnormality. CONSTITUTION:When abnormality data (alarms) sent from the abnormality detecting sensors of facilities are confirmed, the rank of the abnormality is judged on the abnormality criterion to conform either failure out of major failure, medium failure and minor failure. When the major failure is conformed, an alarm 7 is outputted and at the same time all the related facilities are disposed to be stopped and, in addition, the cooling water in a mold is drained. On the other hand, when the medium failure is conformed, continuous molding is done in succession for the predetermined period of time. When no maintenance of quality is judged to be impossible despite that, the mold, for example, is closed at the time when one cycle of molding is completed and all the related facilities are stopped and the cooling water in the mold is drained in order to prevent rust from generating. When the minor failure is conformed, the immediate stopping of all the facilities is not necessary and only the alarm is outputted.
