PURPOSE:To simplify a picture forming by providing an original insertion path connecting a side face vertical to the original placing face and the original placing face while the device main body is unified integrally. CONSTITUTION:The original insertion path 34 connecting one side face vertical to an opening/closing shaft with the original placing plane while one unit 2 is closed to the other unit 3 is provided. In placing the picture forming device 1 so as to bring a cover 33 to the upper face, a sensor S1 is pressed by the placing face to be turned on. With the sensor S1 turned on, the operation of a print switch 22 is cancelled and the image forming is started by the loading of an original to the original insertion path 34. When the image forming is finished as for the loaded original, since the original is discharged by the reversed original feed roller 35, it is not required to open a printing unit from a read unit at image forming as for a single original and the job is executed very simply.
