PURPOSE:To prevent look-over of a message of the operator of the sender by sending a warning tone for a prescribed length of time before a ring back tone or a busy tone is sent to the caller terminal equipment when a dial destination terminal equipment is set with a message. CONSTITUTION:A memory 7 storing the presence of setting of the message of extension telephone sets 1a-1n, a retrieval means retrieving the memory 7 when a call is given to a prescribed extension telephone set to retrieve whether or not the extension telephone sets 1a-1n set with a message, and a means sending a warning tone to the extension telephone set of the sender when the message is set, are provided. When a call comes to the prescribed extension sets 1a-1n, whether or not a message is set to the extensions is retrieved, and when the message is set, after a warning tone is sent to the sender extension, the message is displayed on a display device 15.
