PURPOSE:To polish a cutting edge simply and accurately, by assembling a guide member having a guide surface copying after a twisted blade face, while operating an electric sander, installing a rule member coming contact with the guide surface and sliding, for copying, and polishing the blade face. CONSTITUTION:A guide member (f) having a guide surface 36a copying after a twisted blade face 11 of a rotary edge 1 is assembled to a machine frame (a) clamping a blade of the rotary edge 1 formed in a helix edge in the state that the guide surface 36a is paralleled with the blade face 11 of the rotary edge 1. And, an electric sander 4, provided with a rule member coming into contact with the guide surface 36a and being slidden, is mounted on the guide surface 36a of the guide member (f), moving it for copying after the guide surface 36a, whereby the blade face 11 of the rotary knife 1 is polished. Therefore, polishing of the cutting edge of the rotary edge 1 of a cylinder type cutter being formed into the helix edge is easily and accurately performable even if the rotary edge 1 is not removed from the cutter. |
