BONDING METHOD FOR FLUORORESINE SHEETS

PURPOSE:To develop heat locally on a butting section and bond the butting section effciently by disposing flouroresin sheets butting each other and pressing a horn to a position a little away from said butting section. CONSTITUTION:Each of PTFE sheets 1 and 2 to be bonded is inserted between a lower clamp 5 and an upper clamp 6 of a bixed jig fixed with fixing force P and moved together clamps to put them in a butting state to form a butting surface 4. Then, a horn jig 3 is set in a position shown in the drawing away from the butting surface by the spaces (a) and (b) (3 mm). The butting faces 4 slightly away from the horn jig 3 develop heat, and the butting faces 4 fuse together completely in 15 minutes to achieve a butting bonding of sufficient strength.
