PURPOSE:To perform prompt, neat and cheap trimming, by using a cutting tool to perform rotary cutting with an opposite cut to a cut surface in a product side while an escape cut for a cut surface in trimming one side while the cutting tool, which provides a helical tooth in the cone-shaped peripheral surface, is moved along a trimming line of a product. CONSTITUTION:A rotary cutting tool 1 has plural helical teeth 2 providing a helix angle with respect to the axial center, and trimming is performed while the rotary cutting tool 1 is moved in a rotary speed of 20,000-100,000rpm and its proportional moving speed in the direction of an arrow head (c) along a virtual trimming line 4 of a product 3. And the tool 1 sets its rotary direction such that the tool performs rotary cutting with an opposite cut of an arrow head (a) to a cut surface in a side of the product 3. While the tool sets its rotary direction so as to be an escape cut of arrow head (b) for a cut surface in the side of a trimming piece 3', and a neat cut surface of the product 3 is obtained being not restricted by its shape by a simplified equipment.
