PURPOSE:To improve an image contrast by providing a thermosensitive layer and a transparent layer on a substrate by applying a coating liquid wherein microcapsules containing a basic dye precursor and a developer are emulsified and dispersed. CONSTITUTION:A dispersion liquid wherein microcapsules containing a basic dye precursor and a developer dissolved in an organic solvent difficult to be solved or insoluble in water are emulsified and dispersed is applied to an dried on a substrate to provide a thermosensitive layer. Further, a transparent layer that is turned opaque by heat and/or pressure is laminated on the thermosensitive layer to obtain a thermosensitive recording material. Triaryl methane compound, diphenylmethane compound or the like is preferable as the basic dye precursor. The developer, for example, for leuco dye includes phenol compound, triphenylmethane compound, sulfur-containing phenolic compound and the like. |
