PURPOSE:To manufacture a decorated material with an unexpanded fine acute- angular uneven pattern and a gutta-shaped, expanded uneven pattern by a method in which an expandible resin is decoratively coated on a non-expandible resin layer laminated on the surface of a base material, molded by a press to form an uneven pattern, and then expanded. CONSTITUTION:An expandible resin paste 3 of any color is coated decoratively on a non-expandible resin layer 2 laminated on the surface of a base material 1 by means of a rotary screen device 4 so as to form a desired pattern. And, the base material is passed through a dryer 5 to cause the paste 3 to be gelled to form a covering layer 6. Then, the decorated layer of the base material is preheated in a preheater 7 kept at a temperature below the decomposing temperature of blowing agent present, molded by a press device 8 to form a fine uneven pattern with acute angles throughout, passed through an expanding furnace 10 kept at the decomposing temperature of the blowing agent to form a rounded gutta-shaped uneven pattern 11 by expansion, and then cooled in a cooler 12. |
