PURPOSE:To photograph an object at an arbitrary time without losing a shutter releasing chance, by storing a television signal for a prescribed time transiently, and recording the television signal outputted from a transient storage means on a magnetic recording medium. CONSTITUTION:A video signal image-picked up at a CCD1 is added on a matrix circuit 2, and is added on an A/D converter 4(4a-4c) via a change-over switch 3(3a-3c). A luminance signal Yd and color difference signals (R-Y)d and (B-Y)d converted to digital signals at the A/D converter 4 are stored transiently in the transient storage means RAM5 whose storing time is controlled by a memory control circuit 23. The storing time is set by a counter 22 in which counting is started with a shutter operation. The data stored in a RAM5(5a-5c), passing through a gate circuit 6(6a-6c), a D/A conversion circuit 7(7a-7c), and a switch 8(8a-8c), is modulated by modulation circuits 9 and 10, and are stored on the magnetic recording medium such as a floppy disk, etc.
