PURPOSE:To eliminate the heat generation of an output element and a switching noise by controlling to switch the connecting point of the intermediate of a motor coil to sequentially alter the direction of a composite vector combined with driving vectors thereby to simplify a circuit. CONSTITUTION:A semiconductor chopper 1 chopper-controls the output of a DC power source. Coils A-E of 5-phase stepping motor are coupled in a pentagon-connection, and the connecting points are connected to the connecting points of output elements Tr1, Tr2, Tr9, Tr10. 3-phase rated currents of the rated currents flowing to 5-phase motor coils are excited by a DV voltage obtained by controlling a +V voltage by a semiconductor chopper 1 at the time of 3-phase excitation. The remaining 2-phases are driven at fine angle by controlling to switch a set of output elements. |
