PURPOSE:To adjust the surface potential of a photosensitive body by adjusting the contact area of the inner surface of a shielding case with an insulating film provided thereon and discharging coronas. CONSTITUTION:The insulating resin film 20 is fixed and provided so as to cover some part of the inner surface of the shield case 2. Namely, the insulating film 20 is fixed on a supporting member 21 fixed on a substrate 10 or 11, and its upper part extends so as to cover the inner surface of the shielding case 2. It is movable provided. If it is rotated, the area of the inner surface of the shielding case 2 covered with the insulating film 20 can be changed. Thus the surface potential of a photosensitive drum 1 can be adjusted.
