PURPOSE:To preclude mistriggering by making hysteresis substantially constant under the control of a microprocessor through the tracking of a trigger amplifier gain controller and a vertical axis amplifier gain controller. CONSTITUTION:A user inputs vertical gain control through a keyboard 200. The microprocessor 205 sends a specific signal to the vertical axis gain controller 125 through a digital/analog converter DAC 210 and to a trigger gain controller 125 through a DAC 220. At this time, tracking is performed by the microprocessor 205 for the vertical gain controller 125 so that the trigger amplification gain controller is adjusted reversely. Consequently, the effective hysteresis that a trigger comparator may has can be made constant to preclude mistriggering. Further, the resolution of a necessary trigger level is made invariably constant and through rate performance required to a trigger circuit is reduced as well.
