PURPOSE:To obtain the titled component with markedly stabilized electrical resistance, outstanding in thermal stability, exothermic uniformity, etc., by crosslinking, with a polyvalent metal alkoxide a form of a thermoplastic resin incorporated with an electrically conductive material so as to be provided with positive resistance-temperature characteristics. CONSTITUTION:First, a resin composition is prepared by incorporating (A) 100pts.wt. of a three-component thermoplastic resin made up of ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, polyolefin resin and thermoplastic elastomer with (B) 30-200 pts.wt. of an electrically conductive material (e.g., carbon black with a specific surface area 50-1,500m<2>/g and particle size 15-50mum) to provide positive resistance-temperature characteristics followed by making into a formed of desired shape. Thence, this form is incorporated with a polyvalent metal alkoxide (e.g., monomer or multimer of alkoxyl compound of polyvalent metal such as aluminum or titanium) or impregnated with a solution thereof to make a crosslinked structure in said form, thus obtaining the objective component.
