1. Process for inhibiting the end faces of a block of propellant by means of a polymerizable inhibiting composition, characterized in that it consists in casting in a part (5) of a mould (4) having a configuration matching that of the block (1) face to be inhibited and a depth equal to the thickness of the inhibiting layer to be formed, a determined quantity which is sufficient to form the inhibiting layer on one end face, then placing the said block (1) face to be inhibited in contact with the surface of the cast inhibiting composition, and in performing at least a partial polymerization of the said composition to permit the demoulding of the assembly consisting of the block of propellant and the inhibiting composition which is at least partially polymerized.
