发明名称 INSPECTION METHOD FOR LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE
摘要 PURPOSE:To recognize half-illumination as an abnormal illumination display and to remove the display device as a defective by employing a polarizing plate to discriminate a nonillumination part which is a part of either of two layers. CONSTITUTION:The liquid crystal display device of two-layered structure is mounted on a set, wherein the light from a light source 11 is switched to front- directional light 12 and lateral light 13, and a polarizing plate 14 is superposed and varied in its angle to interrupt the light of a half-illumination part and discriminate a normal illumination part and an abnormal illumination part, and the abnormality of the liquid crystal display device of two-layered structure is confirmed and checked visually. Normal illumination displays a display pattern as designed in the illumination state of the liquid crystal display device of two-layered structure and that is confirmed visually, but abnormal illumination does not display the display pattern as designed and a half-illumination defect is recognized. Thus, defectives are detected extremely easily and accurately.
