PURPOSE:To obtain the titled film outstanding in ground temperature-raising capability and heat retentivity, thus suitable as agricultural heat-retentive covering materials, by incorporating a synthetic resin or coating a film therefrom with powder such as of cordierite or zircon. CONSTITUTION:The objective film can be obtained by incorporating (A) 100pts. wt. of a synthetic resin (e.g., vinyl chloride resin) with (B) 0.1-20pts.wt. of powder of a size 0.1-10mu synthesized by calcination and grinding of either one kind of substance selected from cordierite (2MgO.2Al2O3.5SiO2), zircon (ZrO2.SiO2), yttria-incorporated zirconia (ZrO2.Y2O3) and alumina (Al2O3) or a mixture of several kinds of then followed by forming into a film; alternatively, by coating a film from the resin A with a coating prepared by incorporating 1-20pts.wt. per 100pts.wt. of the nonvolatiles of the coating of said powder.
