发明名称 OPTICAL RECORDING MEDIUM
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a rewritable optical recording medium of a photonic mode, by using a recording layer which presents the reversible oxidation-reduction reaction of a specific coloring matter of copper phthalocyanine. CONSTITUTION:In an optical recording medium of a photonic mode recording system, a recording layer presenting the reversible oxidation-reduction reaction of a coloring matter of copper phthalocyanine expressed by the general formula is used. A recording layer 2 is formed of a high-molecular film containing the coloring matter of copper phthalocyanine. A glass, metal or plastic plate is employed as a substrate 1 and an air barrier layer 4. As for the high-molecular film retaining the coloring matter of copper phthalocyanine, resin having the property of reduction is preferable. The coloring matter of copper phthalocyanine is bonded to a high-molecular chain of the resin and fixed thereto. The recording layer 2 is prepared, for instance, by dissolving the coloring matter of copper phthalocyanine in a water solution of gelatin or the like, applying the solution on the substrate and then drying same. When the air barrier layer 4 is put on and the light of a mercury-vapor lamp is applied, the coloring matter of copper phthalocyanine turns from blue to red and this state is maintained. When the air barrier layer 4 is removed, the coloring matter of copper phthalocyanine returns from red to blue. Therefore, the air barrier layer 4 is put on again, and thus recording can be conducted.
