<p>PURPOSE:To carry and eject a recording medium facedown by forming a carrying path of the recording medium between the upper face of a device and an image carrier. CONSTITUTION:The electrostatic latent image written on a photosensitive drum 2 by an optical scanner 13 is developed into a visible image (toner image) by a developing device 14 and is led to a transfer position. This image faces a recording paper 19, which is carried synchronously with the rotative speed of the photosensitive drum 2, in the transfer position, and the toner image is transferred to the lower face of the recording paper 19 while being softened by the pressing force of a transfer pressure roll 3. After the pressing force of the pressure roll 3 is released, the toner image is solidified by the outside air and heat release of the recording medium and is stuck to the recording paper 19 and is carried to a fixing unit 8 along a carrying guide 7 in this state and is fusion-fixed by the fixing unit 8, and the recording paper is successively ejected onto each bin 9a of a sorter 9. Thus, the recording medium is ejected facedown without providing an inverting mechanism below the recording medium carrying path.</p> |
