<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of fall down or depression of a weather strip even at the corner of a trunk lid by forming a sponge rubber sealing part so as to have partially different thickness walls along its length direction, while providing together the sponge rubber sealing part at a solid rubber fitting part. CONSTITUTION:In the extruding process of the weather strip for an automobile in which a solid rubber fitting part and a hollow sponge rubber sealing part are simultaneously extruded in one body, the die 1 for solid rubber and the dies 2, 3, 4 for the sponge rubber of each layer are respectively connected to the extruding means 5, 6, 7, 8 of separated rubber stocks so as to form the sponge rubber sealing part 13 into two layers or more. The operating time and the extruding speed of each rubber stock extruding means 5, 6, 7, 8 are controlled according to the program preliminarily determined, and the sponge rubber sealing part 13 is provided together at the solid rubber fitting part 15. Simultaneously, the sponge rubber sealing part is formed into the sealing parts 13a, 13b having partially different thickness wall along its length direction.</p> |
