PURPOSE:To eliminate the loss of light and the end surface reflection of light at an incidence part and to reduce the restrictions of the angle of incidence of light by coupling a light source with the concave lens of a tip hard part by a hollow and flexible light guide, and forming a light reflecting material over the entire internal wall of the hollow part of the light guide. CONSTITUTION:The light source 1 and the concave lens 7 of the tip hard part are coupled with each other by the hollow and flexible light guide 4 and the whole internal wall of the hollow part of this light guide is formed of the light reflecting material 5. Light 2 emitted by the light source 1 is converged by a condenser lens 3 and incident on the hollow part of the light guide 4 to travel as shown by an arrow while reflected irregularly by the light reflecting material 5 of the hollow part, and the light is diffused and projected from the tip of a scope by a concave lens 7 to illuminate the periphery of the tip. Consequently, the light reflecting material 5 in the light guide 4 which serves as a passage for the light neither breaks nor damage, so the loss of the light is eliminated completely and no end surface reflecting is caused when the light enters the light guide 4, so the angle of incidence of the light is easily adjusted.
