PURPOSE:To eliminate a backlash so as to enable a gear wheel to be rotated precisely and smoothly by providing a slitting on an addendum of a gear wheel in parallel with a tooth trace. CONSTITUTION:A slitting 1b is formed approximately in the center of an addendum 1a of a gear tooth 1 of a spur gear in parallel with a tooth trace. By doing so, the gear tooth 1 divided into sections by the slitting 1b deforms elastically and absorbs a pitch error, a tooth profile error, etc. Therefore, the gear wheel can be rotated more precisely and smoothly than the former gear wheel without giving any hindrance to the rotating movement even if it is constituted to eliminate backlashes completely. |
