The invention relates to an induction furnace including a tunnel 3 in which are arranged guide members 10 for guiding and/or supporting the components 4 to be treated. In order to reduce the overall size of the guide members and to enable their water-cooling circuit to be eliminated, these members consist of solid components made of refractory material. Components 10 made from refractory sheet steel or components made from ceramic may be used for example. The invention applies to low- or medium-frequency induction furnaces.
