PURPOSE:To drive an electronic wristwatch with proper power corresponding to load, by changing the width of a drive pulse by detecting the induction current generated in the coil of a stepping motor as load. CONSTITUTION:The drive pulse from an oscillation circuit 26 is applied to a drive circuit 27 to drive a stepping motor 28 for displaying a time. The induction current of the coil of the motor 28 is supplied and load is detected by a load detection circuit and, when detection load is large because a calender mechanism is operated, a drive pulse having a large pulse width is selected for a timer period by a counter started at the time of this detection through a control circuit 30. By this mechanism, an electronic wristsatch can be driven with proper power corresponding to load. |
