PURPOSE:To improve reliability and operability in automatic transfer, by executing a prescribed numeral sending operation, and sending a stored telephone number automatically after storing the telephone number inputted from a numeral button under calling and executing an operation to start up the automatic transfer function of an automatic exchange. CONSTITUTION:A storage means 400 and a sending means 500 are provided on a telephone set 200 housed in the automatic exchange 100. And a user, after storing the telephone number of a transfer opposite notified from an opposite talker in the storage means 400 by operating the numeral button 300, performs a prescribed operation (for example, hooking) which starts up the automatic transfer function of the automatic exchange 100. Afterwards, by operating the prescribed numeral sending operation, the sending means 500 sends the telephone number of the transfer opposite stored in the storage means 400 to the automatic exchange 100 automatically. in such way, it is possible to prevent the erroneous connection due to erroneous storage, or the mistake of a dial operation from occurring, and also to omit labor and time to record the telephone number, etc., on a memo sheet.
