The device comprises, in particular: a sleeve 1 which is closed at one end, called the lower end, by a base 5 and open at its other end, called the top end; a cup 2 arranged inside the said sleeve 1 intended to receive the rod 4 of product and capable of sliding inside the said sleeve; and means for manoeuvring the said cup 2 between a rest position, in which the cup 2 is nearest to the base 5 of the sleeve 1, and a service position, in which the cup 2 is closest to the top end of the sleeve 1. The means for manoeuvring the cup 2 comprise, on the one hand, a telescopic element 6 arranged between the base 5 of the sleeve 1 and the cup 2, folded in the rest position and deployed in the service position, and, on the other hand, an actuating element located along the outer wall of the sleeve and connected, through an opening 9 made in the sleeve, to the said telescopic element 6, the passage from the rest position to the service position giving rise to a translation of the cup 2 without rotation.
