PURPOSE:To obtain a synthetic aperture radar image indicating a moving target alone, by providing a moving target stressing circuit which determines a difference of look between a low Doppler frequency and a high Doppler frequency in the radar image with a look divided to stress the moving target. CONSTITUTION:An azimuth Fourier transform section 1 performs a Fourier transformation of a range compression signal (a) in the azimuth direction to be converted in terms of frequency area. A look dividing section 2 divides a signal into four looks on the frequency area and outputs look signals c1-c4. Azimuth compressing sections 31-34 perform an azimuth compression of the signals c1-c4 and output look azimuth compression signals d1-d4. Azimuth reverse Fourier transform sections 41-44 perform a reverse Fourier transformation of the signal d1-d4 and outputs reverse Fourier transformation signals e1-e4. A moving target stressing circuit 7 makes the signals e1 and e2 overlap signals e3 and e4 with look adding sections 51 and 52 in a non-coherent manner and subtracts outputs of the adding sections 51 and 52 with a look subtracting section 6. Thus, a radar image signal (b) is obtained from the circuit 7 as multilook.
