PURPOSE:To facilitate nonorientation of magnetic particles by passing a supporting body successively in plural magnetic fields which have a certain specified angle with the conveying direction of the supporting body and face in nearly the same direction as or in the directions opposite from each other so that the base is subjected to the nonorientation. CONSTITUTION:After a magnetic particle-contg. layer is coated on the supporting body 1 by a magnetic coating compd. coating means 3, the body 1 passes the plural orienting magnetic fields 4 while the coated film is in an uncured and undried state. The magnetic particles are oriented mechanically to some extent in the conveying direction 7 by the coating means 3 or a main magnet which may be provided between the means 3 and the magnetic fields 4 and are satisfactorily and thoroughly nonoriented by the effect of the nonorienting magnetic fields 4 in the specific direction with the direction 7.
