PURPOSE:To prevent vertical resolution from being deteriorated by multiplex recording a signal processing the sum of two output signals of an odd and an even number of a horizontal picture element train and low frequency component of at least the signal of one train or a difference signal of two trains. CONSTITUTION:The output signals a, b of the adjacent odd and the even number of the horizontal picture element trains of a slid-state image pickup element 2 are read simultaneously by one horizontal scanning, and a signal (d) processing the sum signal of the output signals a, b of two trains and the low frequency component aL, (bL) of at least one train of the signal between the two trains of the output signals a, b or the low frequency component of a difference signal aL- bL of the output signals of the two trains are multiplex recorded. The 1st and 2nd field signals F1, F2 are reproduced from the signal multiplex recorded. In maintaining the relation of interlacing in the 1st and 2nd field for only the low frequency component of the picture in this way, no deterioration in the vertical resolution occurs as the entire picture. |
