The present invention relates to the manufacturing of a water bag 10 for a mattress or bed including a water bag. Water bags existing on the market lack reliability, since they are manufactured with a vinyl film which, over time, ends up splitting, in particular at the welds, which leads to leaks and unavoidable replacement of the water bag. These water bags are fitted with a water stabilisation system which is not effective enough, with wave-like movements still being produced for 5 to 10 seconds after the movements of the person lying down cease. The present invention solves the problem of reliability of the water bag by using a cloth coated on both surfaces with PVC. or polyurethane. This coated cloth, although very thick, has no effect on the comfort of the bed, but affords the enormous advantage of not being able to split, or tear, or deform, in contrast to a vinyl film which, for its part, is not reinforced and is thinner. <IMAGE>
