PURPOSE:To secure the positioning of the shaft of a transmission, by providing a component of the transmission, except the shaft, with a mark showing the direction of the center line of a tapped hole in a shaft supporting the securing member looking in the axial direction of the shaft. CONSTITUTION:One end of a reverse idler gear shaft 3, whose other end is loosely fitted in the hole of a clutch housing, is formed as a shaft supporting and securing member 5. A clamping bolt 8 is screwed into the tapped hole 6 of the securing member 5 to fix the member on a transmission case 2. To cause the tapped hole 6 of the securing member 5 and the hole 7 of the transmission case 2 to coincide with each other at the time of the fixation of the member 5 on the case 2, a shifting fork 9 is provided with a mark 10 showing the direction of the tapped hole 6. In assembling the shaft 3, the center line of the tapped hole 6 is made coincident with the mark 10. |
