<p>PURPOSE:To maintain the specified deflection of rolling rolls and to improve the quality of a rolled stock by detecting the horizontal force to be exerted to work rolls, moving the work rolls by as much as the difference between the horizontal force and target value and suppressing the horizontal force to be exerted to the work rolls to a specified value. CONSTITUTION:The work roll 3 is horizontally moved by an offset cylinder 6 via a chock 4. The moving force of this time is given via an intermediate cylinder 8 by opening and closing a solenoid valve 9. A selsyn 12 is provided on the shaft of the intermediate cylinder to detect the direction and quantity of the offset and a pressure detector 10 is provided between the offset cylinder 6 and the intermediate cylinder 8 to detect the horizontal force. The roll position is detected by a gap detector and the positions of the chock 4 and block 5 are detected by a differential transformer in order to check the action quantity at the control end of the offset position. The offset detection quantity of the intermediate cylinder 8 is then corrected.</p> |
