PURPOSE:To obtain a highly corrosion resistant vessel material having corrosion- resisting plating layers excellent in adhesive strength to a base material, by forming an intermediate layer composed of pure Al and a surface layer composed of Sn on a material composed of an Al alloy by vapor-deposition plating to the prescribed thicknesses, respectively. CONSTITUTION:The material consisting of Al alloy is subjected to vapor- deposition plating with pure Al of >=0.01mum thickness as intermediate layer, and then Sn of >=0.01mum thickness as surface layer is formed on this intermediate layer by vapor-deposition plating. In this way, the Al alloy-type highly corrosion resistant vessel material which is excellent in corrosion resistance while making the most of the characteristics of Al alloy, such as light weight, attractiveness and superior mechanical properties, can be obtained.
