PURPOSE:To easily produce sintered parts having recesses by disposing raw material powder around a mandrel contg. moisture, etc., and subjecting the powder to cold press molding, drying the molding by heating in a vacuum and drawing the mandrel which is diametrally reduced by evaporation of the moisture, etc. CONSTITUTION:The mandrel 1 formed by incorporating moisture into wood and molding the same is disposed as a molding tool for the recess in the prescribed position in a mold 2 consisting of a material having plasticity such as rubber. The raw material powder 3 for sintered parts such as ceramic powder or metal powder is packed in the space around the above-mentioned mandrel 1. The powder is subjected to press molding by exerting compressive force from the outside to the mold 2 in the cold state by a cold isostatic molding method, etc. The molding inclusive of the mandrel 1 is heated and dried in vacuum. The moisture of the mandrel 1 is thereby evaporated to reduce the diameter of the mandrel and to form a spacing between the mandrel and a molding 4. The molding 4 is removed without damaging the same after cooling. The molding 4 is thereafter sintered under prescribed conditions, by which the sintered parts having the recess are obtd.
