PURPOSE:To obtain the titled toner with which a sharp magenta color is obtd. and which has high coloring power, does not dye a fixing roller consisting of silicone rubber and has excellent fastness to light by incorporating a compd. classified as C.I. Basic Red 12 and C.I. Disperse Violet 31 into the toner. CONSTITUTION:This magenta toner for color electrophotography contains both the compd. classified as C.I. Basic Red 12 and the compd. classified as C.I. Disperse Violet 31. The constitutional formula of the compd. classified as C.I. Disperse Violet 31 is as expressed by formula I. The amt. of the coloring agent to be added is preferably 0.1-10pts.wt., more particularly preferably 0.2-3.0pts. wt. of the total amt. of the two coloring agents per 100pts.wt. binder resin. The ratio of the two coloring agents to be added is preferably in a C.I. Basic Red 12/C.I. Disperse Violet 31=1/9-5/10. There is a tendency to degradation of fastness to light if the amt. of the C.I. Basic Red 12 to be added exceeds 1/2 the amt. of the C.I. Basic Violet 31 to be added. The sharp magenta color is thereby obtd. The dyeing of the silicone rubber roller is obviated and the fastness to light is improved. |
