Method for preparing organic wastes by composting

The method is described for preparing organic wastes by composting, in which method naturally occurring organic wastes are collected at the point of their occurrence, the wastes being prepared for successful composting by suitable measures. The composting takes place in a closed, heat-insulated composting container which permits the necessary air access and has a capacity of from 50 l to 5 m<3>. A composting container for the method according to the invention is also described, having side parts and a lid, the side parts being capable of being connected to each other by plug-in fitting, and the side parts and lid being provided with a heat insulation layer.
