PURPOSE:To administer to the convenience of the reading of a compression data at the time of encoding and outputting the compressing data, by providing a managing table memory part which stores a write address at the front of the compression data at every scanning line as a managing table other than a compression data memory part which stores image information as the compression data in a unit of scanning line. CONSTITUTION:The titled device is constituted of the compression data memory part 1 which compresses an image data at every scanning line unit and stores it as the compression data, the managing table memory part 2 which stores the write address at the forefront of the compression data 7 at by every scanning line corresponding to each scanning line as the managing table, and a decoder 3 which reads the compression data from a prescribed scanning line by referring to the managing table memory part 2 and decodes and outputs it at every scanning unit. In other words, when the scanning line to start reading is supplied, the decoder 3 finds the address of the compression data memory part 1 to start the reading from the managing table memory part 2, and can start the reading of the compression data from a found address. In such way, it is possible to read and decode the compression data even in the middle of a page.
