PURPOSE:To reduce electric power consumption, by a method wherein the title device is provided with a flame port tube, having a multitude of small holes bored on the outer peripheral side of a cylindrical heating chamber including an electric heater, an air chamber, provided on the outer peripheral side of the flame port tube, and an air passageway, provided from the air chamber to a combustion chamber through a heating chamber, in order to supply high-temperature hot air into an evaporating unit. CONSTITUTION:When an electric heater 2 is conducted, a heating chamber 1 is heated through a heating space 3 and the temperature of the bottom surface of a combustion chamber 6 is risen. When the temperature of an evaporating unit has arrived at a temperature higher than the evaporating temperature of fuel, a fuel pump 9 is operated to inject the fuel into the evaporating unit at the bottom of the combustion chamber 6 through a fuel nozzle 8. At the same time, a fan 10 is operated and air is sent into a heating space 3 through the small holes 1a bored on the heating chamber 1, then, the air is supplied into the evaporating unit through small holes 1b as high-temperature airflow. Simultaneously, the air is supplied into the combustion chamber 6 through the small holes 4a provided on a flame port tube 4. Evaporated gas is ascended while being mixed with the hot air, supplied through the small holes 1b and the small holes 4a at the lower part of the flame port tube 4, then, is burnt while being mixed with and diffused into the air supplied through the small holes 4a. In this case, combustion flame is formed from the small holes 4a toward the inside of the heating chamber thereby heating the heating chamber.
