PURPOSE:To decrease a power consumption by controlling the displaying cycle of an electric optical element in accordance with the capacity of a power supplying means and selecting and displaying either of a moving image and a static image to an electric optical element. CONSTITUTION:When a switch S-1 is closed, the light measuring value of a measuring circuit 22 is a prescribed value or above and a power source voltage VDD is an operatable voltage or above, a driving circuit included in an image pick-up part 31 travels itself. A pulse phiT continues to occur, a moving image is displayed at a liquid crystal finder part 8, and in this condition, the storage time of an image pick-up part 31 is controlled so that the level of the video signal from the image pick-up part 31 can be suitable by the output of a control circuit 42. Next, on and off of a switch S-2 are investigated and at the time of on, a photographing action is executed. When a prescribed time passes while the switch S-2 is not on, the displaying of the finder part 8 is once stopped. Consequently, after the switch S-1 is on and a prescribed time passes, the displaying of the finder part 8 is stopped automatically.
