A condenser recovery system for recovery of solvents having a dome (5) shaped surface with hot vapor (3) on one side, heat removal means (6) on the other side and oriented such that vapors rising and touching the inner surface of the dome-shaped surface are condensed and the resulting condensate runs down the inner surface of the condenser to a collection trough (9) and optionally including a cold trap vapor seal wherein vapors are condensed in a narrow path between the surface condenser and a container formed in part by the condenser.
