A stator winding (2) is arranged in the motor housing (1), which is shown in simplified form, and the ends (1a) have bearings (3) for a shaft (4) on which a displaceable rotor (6) can be displaced as far as a braking surface (35) by means of the brake lining (34) of a braking spring (11). The brake lining (34) is connected via a braking ring (28) to an extension (31) of the short-circuiting ring (32) of the displaceable rotor (6). In the upper half, Figure 1 shows the displaceable rotor (6) in the running position. The deformation element (17) is connected to the extension (31) at the attachment points (17c), at the level of the centre line and is deformed through half the displacement movement towards the displaceable rotor (6). After the motor is switched off, the braking spring (11) presses the displaceable rotor (6) and the extension (31), which is connected thereto, together with the attachment point (17c) of the deformation element (17) to the left, into the position which is shown in the lower half of Figure 1. The supporting ring (15) with the driver arms (15b) is fixed axially in annular grooves (13) in the shaft (4) by means of circlips (14) and does not change its position. <IMAGE>
