PURPOSE:To reduce the influence of a hand shake at the time of panning by controlling the time lag from the generation of a recording trigger to image recording according to detected subject distance. CONSTITUTION:An arithmetic means 34 sets widely an image pickup area A1 for which a calculation needs to be calculated because a main subject of image plane width is photographed large at the time of short-distance photography, the photographic area A1 for which the difference needs to be calculated is set narrower as the photographic distance increases, and an integrator 35 integrates the absolute value of the difference found for each picture element in the image pickup area A1. This arithmetic operation is instructed by a timing generating circuit 38. A discrimination circuit 36 calculates the shutter lag from the output of the integrator 35, a time output measured by a 1st timer 39, and distance data obtained by a range finding circuit 42. A timing generating circuit 38 sends a high-level signal instructing exposure to an exposure control means 41 to start film exposure. Consequently, the influence of a hand shake at the time of panning is reducible. |
