The centrifugal coffee machine has a centrifugal filter with an upper housing part (11) and a lower housing part (10) which are displaceable relative to one another in the axial direction. As a result, a peripheral annular gap between the two housing parts (10, 11) can be obtained, in order to eject the used coffee powder. The two housing parts (10, 11) are displaced under the action of a spring (23) made of a memory alloy which is heated up above the critical temperature at the end of the brewing phase by a steam blast and thereby expanded.
