In order to operate a petrol pump having an electronic price calculator, measures must be taken to monitor the measured values in a comparative fashion and to continue recording even after a malfunction. To permit independent recording of the measured values, an additional measuring module (1) is connected to the electronic price calculator (16 to 20) and is driven by means of a second output of the gear adapter (6). The measuring module (1) is essentially composed of a mechanical revolution counter (22) having an electromagnetic resetting device (26, 27) and a malfunction indicator (34) which indicates a malfunction in the event of failure of the supply voltage. The revolution counter (22) is able to continue recording after the malfunction, so that any quantity of fuel which passes through the delivery system after the malfunction is also recorded. <IMAGE>
